Initial Settings

Now that you have successfully installed your randomizer, you need to fill in few details in the admin area for it to work properly. Lets go step by step.

If you have not done so already, login into the admin area of your randomizer with the admin account details that you used during installation. After successfully logging in you will see three drop down menus.


Goto: Site Content -> Settings

You will see a form like this

Your TheRandomizer.net username. :
  • Site Name: is the name of your site which is displayed as a title on the main page.
     
  • Site Skin: TheRandomizer comes with four color based skins from which you can select any one. You can change the skin any time.
     
  • Support Email: This is the email id where you will receive all the support request emails.
     
  • Notify Email: This is the email id where you will receive notification from the randomizer, like new member sign up, weight purchase etc.
     
  • Send Email after every new registration: If marked as "True", the script will send an email to the Notify Email address each time a new member signs up.
     
  • Show Alexa Ratings: If marked as "True", the script will show the yellow colored alexa rating box on the right panel of your randomizer site.
     
  • Payment Note: Payment note is the note sent to new sign ups along with each payment receipt. Eg. Site Membership
     
  • Show statistics: If marked as "True", will display the statistics in the right panel on the front page of your site.
     
  • Allow text ads: If marked as "True", will allow you to display member ads on all public pages i.e. index page, faq, join now page etc.
     
  • Number of text ads allowed per user: The maximum number of text ads that each user may insert into the site for rotation.
     
  • Number of members text ads displayed: The number of member text ads displayed on the public pages of your site.
     
  • Allow banners on your website: If marked "True", will allow members to add banners to your site which will be displayed on all public pages.
     
  • Number of banners allowed per user: This is the maximum number of banners that each member can insert into the randomizer site.
     
  • Allow advertising accounts: If marked "True", will allow you to create advertiser accounts on your website.
     
  • Text ads allowed per advertiser: This is the maximum number of text ads that each advertiser may insert into the site for rotation.
     
  • Number of advertisers text ads displayed: The number of sponsored text ads displayed on the public pages and in the member area of your site.
     
  • Want to accept PayPal on your website ?: If you wish to accept paypal as on of your payment processor, mark it as true. The same has to be done with other payment processors like stormpay, e-gold, intgold, moneybookers etc.
     
  • Admin Fee: This is the amount of money that each visitor has to pay to the admin to sign up as member of the site.
     
  • Sponsor Fee: This is the amount of money that each visitor has to pay to his sponsor to sign up as a member of the site.
     
  • Random member fee: This is the amount of money that each visitor has to pay to a random member to sign up as a member of the site.
     
  • Second Random member fee (if any): This field has been reserved for future use and has no meaning for the current version of TheRandomizer. You may simply ignore this field.
     
  • Fee for 5 weight units: This is the amount of money each member has to pay to the admin to add 5 extra weights to his/her account. The same explanation follows for other weight units fields.
     
  • Your TheRandomizer.net username: If you have a TheRandomizer client area username, please enter it here.

The next step would be to fill in your personal details.


Goto : Account -> Edit Details

  • First Name: The site owner's first name. In case of a company, the organization/company name.
  • Last Name: The site owner's last name. In case of a company you may put Inc, Ltd etc.
  • Your Address: Site owner's Postal address.
  • City: Site owner's city.
  • State/Region: Site owner's state/region.
  • Country: Site Owner's country
  • Email address: Site owner's email address.

*All fields are compulsory.


The next step would be to fill in your(admin) payment gateway details.

Goto : Account -> Payment Info

* StormPay.com :
* Egold.com ID :
IntGold.com :
AssuredPay.com :
MoneyBookers.com :
Pro-Pay.net :
  • Paypal.com: Site admin's Paypal email id.
  • Stormpay.com: Site admin's Stormpay email id.
  • E-gold.com: Site admin's E-gold account number.
  • IntGold.com: Site admin's IntGold account number.
  • AssuredPay.com: Site admin's AssuredPay username.
  • MoneyBookers.com: Site admin's MoneyBookers.com id.
  • Pro-Pay.net: Site admin's Pro-Pay id.

The payment gateways marked "True" in the settings page will carry (*) before their names.
*Fields is compulsory.

That's it, the hard work is done. All initial settings for your randomizer has been done. You may now proceed to add content to various pages of your randomizer site.
