Is it me only or is it true that StormPay is no longer available for our kind of online business?
It appears that from 23rd March 2006, most of the user functions have been removed! |

Stormpay is Dead, they are no longer a payment processor, I would suspect them to be out of business very soon!

I have been trying to access Stormpay with IE and no pages come up except the action pages. I can access my Stormpay account through mozilla. I then used Mozilla to test a Buy Now Button thru my other site. And this is what it said.
Important StormPay Policy Change:
Dear Valued StormPay customer,
Effective immediately StormPay Inc. will no longer accept payments for sales made outside of StormPay Auctions. If you are an online seller who wishes to sell your product or service through the StormPay system, your item must be sold using the StormPay Auctions feature. Listing in the StormPay Auctions is FREE of charge unless utilizing our inexpensive upgraded listing options.
Q: Why has StormPay implemented this new policy?
A: StormPay has rendered certain policy changes to insure a safer online experience for both buyers and sellers. This policy change allows StormPay to more closely monitor the products/services sold, insuring that sold items are within StormPay’s acceptable use policies.
Under these new policy guidelines, customers may no longer log into a StormPay account for the purpose of sending money to another online user, or “offsite” website sale. All “spends” and “receives” are and only can be for the specific purchase of a user’s auction listing and successful purchase of.
Subscriptions (recurring billing) is no longer supported by the StormPay system. All current subscriptions have been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We appreciate your business. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
StormPay Inc.
Nice dirty trick for them to do. I never received a notice that they were going to do this. Plus not being able to use IE to access my account stinks! |

As I stated earlier I believe Stormpay to be slowly dying, I think it's related to the 12DailyPro scandal too, I think the raids and investigations into them by the FBI and the State of Tennessee have finally done them in. I think they cut a deal somewhere to not accept payments outside of their own auctions as a plea agreement of some sort in exchange for not facing criminal charges. This is just my opinion, I have no hard evidence to support this claim, so take it with a grain of salt. I just predict that since Stormpay caused such a massive flow of negative attention to themselves and 12DailyPro, they have in essence killed themselves. It's no big secret that Stormpay's Auctions are a joke, hardly used, and the only products you can buy on there are stolen egoods anyways. If anyone has anymore information or thoughts into this story...Post away!
