I will be the first to tell you that Manish is not going to hand over the source code to this script, he'd be foolish to do so! There is nothing in the logic that you'd need to have decoded, all the files you need to edit are un-encrypted already, the logic of the script is what's encrypted for sake of the script's value. If you need mods or a custom script contact Manish. Good luck.

Hi outcastedz,

Although chris did explain it, I will try to explain you why we need encoding.

I am a big fan of open source but unfortunately Open Source technology does little to small webmasters like us. Yes its true, if tomorrow someone tries to sell Red Hat Linux illegally (its source code is available with the OS purchase), he will be brought to justice because Red Hat is a huge organization. The same is not true for small webmasters like us. If we release the source code (like we did until V2.4), piracy is bound to happen. The worst thing is, given the nature of internet, there is little that can be done to bring the pirates to justice. You won't believe but TheRandomizer V2.4 was sold illegally to more than 300 people via ebay and other sites. V2.3 is was available on some p2p networks. This obviously brings down the value of the script and the biggest sufferers are the resellers and clients who have paid some good money to get the licenses.

Although the script is encoded, most of the files that assist in designing are left un-encoded. You have almost all control over the design of your website. If you are looking at adding some programming feature to your site, you may put a request in "request a new feature" section, if more people ask for the same feature, we will incorporate it in the next release. Whats more, if you purchase the script from therandomizer.net you are entitled for free upgrades for life.

In case of any questions feel free to post here.

Thanks and regards
Manish Singh
