Is this all done through the payment processor, or does anything need to be changed within the script?
Also, will past members who have already joined on a one time payment be charged monthly as well

Its done both at the payment processor level as well as the script. Basically you have to patch the script so that one time payment codes are converted to recurring payment codes. You can buy the payment subscription mod for $10 by sending a request to support@therandomizer.net Please note that not all payment processors support subscriptions. Also currently we do not support paypal subscriptions.

Since the payment is handled outside of script, members who have already joined cannot be charged a monthly subscription. There is no way script can access old member's payment processor account and create a subscription.
