error trying to install

Hello,
what could be the reason for this error, trying to install for a customer;

extension_dir does not exists /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429

Hi,

Their PHP was configured without extension_dir tab. Are they really on a production server or its just a server used for testing script etc?

They may have to contact their web host to get the php configuration fixed.
