I've read all the threads in this forum regarding ixed problems and tried to do everything with it, downloaded the new ixed loaders, tried to make them load statically by changing the php.ini file and uploading the files to the main directory. And still the installation doesn't start. I've checked safe mode is off, so do you have any idea what else can be wrong?

thanks, Michael

Hi Gamer,

Can you post a link to your phpinfo page and a link to the test script available on the sourceguardian site.

Also are you sure you uploaded the ixed files in binary mode?

If you edited the php.ini file, make sure you restart apache.

Hi Manish, thanks a lot for so fast answer.

1.My host is bluehost.com , I use shared hosting, and I think I can edit the php.ini file, but I can't restart apache..
2. I used smartftp to upload the files, I'm sure it was in binary mode. I've reuploaded it few times even
3. Here are the links:

Hi Gamer,

I checked your php.ini file and read this note

Quote:
; If you would like to change the PHP environment for any PHP files
; in your account, make the changes to this file. Then copy this file to
; all directories, including subdirectories, that have PHP files in them.
;
; NOTE: If you do not copy this file to all directories and subdirectories
; with PHP files, your changes here will not affect those files in other
; directories.

Make sure to upload this file in each and every directory of your script including ixed, adminarea, member area, public_html, lib, templates (subfolders included), rimages.

Let me know if it worked with this.

Cheers!
Manish

I've done it, but still no effect, the same message is displayed..

Quote:
PHP script /home/yourrand/public_html/install.php is protected by SourceGuardian and requires file ixed.4.3.11.lin or ixed.4.3.lin.
Please read SourceGuardian protected scripts manual.

Any more suggestions?
Could you help me, if I give you temporary password?

Hey Manish,
I can pay you if you install the script for me. I'll give you some temporary password to access my hosting account. I've already spent last two days trying to START installation and I'm too tired and angry on it. Sad
Or may be you have any more ideas on what can be wrong here?

Rolling Eyes

thanks, Michael

Hi Gamer,

Are you sure the changes done to php.ini in your account are working. The reason I ask this is, because after making a change in php.ini (server wide installation), there is a need to restart apache server which does not happen in your case.

Is it possible for you to request your hosting company to add that extension line in their main php.ini configuration file and restart apache? SourceGuardian libraries are very safe (used by cpanel and many others) and I am sure your host will agree to its addition in php.ini file.

Once that is done, I am sure the installer will work without any problems on your hosting account.

Cheers!
Manish
