I am trying to update the content on my new site and recieving the following error when ever I try to enter html code in the Edit the site content page.

"MySQL Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's it. We think you've earned it.<br> <br> <str"

This was working yesterday when I place information on all of the pages as under construction. THe error also ocurrs when I enter plain text in the field.

Any Ideas?

Hi! What version do you use? Please try to add an \ before the special characters ' and " .
Anyway this problem should not occur in 2.2 ...

Also if you are using and older version when you go to edit it a page the \'s are already there from the first time you entered it. It is best to delete all the code and paste in your new html code and you won't have that problem. If you leave them then you end up with double \\'s when you save and your links won't work.

I have version 2.2

It is the special characters causing the problem.

I have just removed them and it is working.

Mike
