Hello,
I forgot to ask which page I promote for my random member payments. Ive been doing the promo.php is that correct? Every time I go to it though I always see me there and not a random member.

Hi Paula,
Jim is partially right but for you to promote your site you don't need to use the promo.php file at all. All you need to do is promote your base URL www.yourbizsource.com and the script will either pick you to pay as the first member or a random member to pay as the referring member you can set this in the config.php file in the following lines:
/* The next variable sets who will be paid if there is no referral(sponsor)
Set it to false,if you want the admin to receive the payment or to true if
you want a random member to be chosen
*/
$CONFIG->payrandom = true;
So if you want admin to receive the first payment for all the people that come to the base URL you change it to false. If you want a random member paid for all the people that come to the base URL set it to true.
This way you can promote a much shorter link.

Hi all,
Thanks for your info. Anyway if you go to just http://www.yourbizsource.com and then click join, there is no name showing up. The only way I get one to show up is with the promo.php. And that is always mine. I have the script set to true to pull up random member if no sponsor is given. Do I maybe have something else wrong?

Hi Paula,
If you dump your cookies your will see just the base URL does give a random sponsor. You just aren't seeing it because of the cookie that has already been placed.
